CONTRAINDICATIONS

Your health is very important to us - and you. That's why we are committed to delivering the highest standard of service and take precaution and care to screen each client. 

If any of the contraindications below apply to you, we would not be able to provide you with colonic detox hydrotherapy at the present time, unless you provide us with written prescription or permission from your MD or ND showing supervision over our services for the contraindication. 

If you have any of the contraindications below you may still be eligible to receive colon hydrotherapy once they have subsided or have been eliminated. Alternatively, massage, acupuncture, and dietary modifications can be extremely helpful with improving bowel regularity, reducing abdominal pain and addressing inflammation issues.

Contraindications for Colon Hydrotherapy:

• Cancer of the colon or GI (gastro- intestinal) tract
• Acute abdominal pain -please seek doctor's advice
• Recent history of GI or rectal bleeding
• Congestive heart failure
• Uncontrolled hypertension
• History of seizures
• Carcinoma of the rectum
• Recent abdominal surgery
• Intestinal perforation
• Abdominal hernia
• Recent colon or rectal surgery
• Diverticulitis (May receive colonics only if in remission) 
• Recent heart attack
• General debilitation (Will need note from your healthcare provider)
• Vascular aneurysm
• Renal insufficiency
• Kidney stones
• Epilepsy or psychosis
• Hemorrhoids (May receive colonics if in remission, with doctor's note.)
• Cirrhosis of the liver
• Anal fissures or fistula
• Pregnancy (May do home enemas only)
• Ulcerative colitis
• Crohn’s disease (Must have doctor's note with permission)
• Rectal or abdominal tumors

At Key Detox we strive to provide our clients with the best service possible. However, we are deeply regretful that at present,  the clinic is not accessible for persons in wheelchairs or who may have severe difficulty getting up or down a flight of stairs.
